Call for proposals: Reporting assignment for the Zero Hunger Private Sector Pledge
The Shamba Centre for Food and Climate is pleased to invite proposals from qualified organisations or consultants on a reporting assignment for the Zero Hunger Private Sector Pledge (ZHP) project. The ZHP is a global initiative that mobilises private sector commitments towards ending hunger and achieving Sustainable Development Goal 2 (Zero Hunger). The initiative emphasises translating financial commitments into impactful investments that address food insecurity, foster sustainable agricultural practices, and build resilient food systems.
This project aims to produce a comprehensive report assessing the progress and impact of commitments made under ZHP during the 2023/2024 period. The report will focus on tracking the conversion of pledged amounts—of at least USD 1 million per commitment—into tangible investments. Furthermore, the project will support the alignment of ZHP’s reporting framework with international standards, ensuring consistency and transparency in its reporting processes.
The scope of this assignment includes designing efficient workflows, engaging stakeholders to define impact measurement principles, collecting and analysing relevant data, and producing actionable insights. This effort not only evaluates past performance but also lays the groundwork for future improvements in ZHP reporting, including recommendations for the 2027 reporting exercise.
The timeline for this project spans from February to October 2025, with key deliverables structured around assessment, data collection, analysis, and final reporting phases.
Project Summary
The objective of this assignment is to provide a comprehensive report on the implementation of commitments made under the Zero Hunger Private Sector Pledge (ZHP), specifically assessing the conversion of commitments (of at least USD 1 million) into actual investments. Additionally, the project aims to advance the integration of the ZHP reporting framework with international reporting standards.
